A great comfortable cozy small-town diner/cafe. Today’s special, meat loaf. A meal I loathe, but my wife loves the stuff. It was a big chunk on the plate with mashed potatoes, brown gravy, green beans, a dinner roll and one trip to the salad bar. A great little salad bar. Instant mashed potatoes, and gravy, green beans with bacon and onion, all just like home cooking. I had an excellent deluxe hamburger with the big five LTPO&M. (Lettuce, Tomato, Pickle Onion and Mustard NOT Mayonnaise) Be careful here, they will put mayo on your burger unless you specify. Fresh toppings, crispy fries. Great service! We both left happy and full. The pictures describe the food better than I can.

My whole family, all my friends, we love this place. It is quaint and perfectly hometown. Food is great, service is great, atmosphere is outstanding. And, the prices!!! You can’t beat them. I’ll be going back until I die or the end times come.

Just moved to the area. This is such a cozy little restaurant. Home cooked meal and I couldn't believe the prices. Such a breath of fresh air to go to a restaurant that doesn't charge an arm and leg. Everyone is so friendly. Definitely recommend.

Absolutely the BEST family restaurant in Oklahoma. Great food, wonderful service and prices that forgot what year it is. They are so kind and even bring food to the local senior center. Kristen is one of the most considerate and helpful people I've ever seen interacting with customers. Great family and great place to be. I wish you all more generations of blessed success!

Very friendly, fast, attentive, and reasonably priced. The salad bar is fresh and convenient. My husband said, "Every bite added to my appetite. " Authentic homemade American cuisine indeed!

They've cleaned up quite nicely in the last few years with renovations. They also have added some fun stuff to the menu.

This is perhaps the best old fashioned diner in Oklahoma. We eat out a lot and try a lot of places. If you want to take in a diner that is more or less the heartbeat of a small town in Oklahoma, this is your spot. It is on the west side of Cleveland and is somewhat unassuming if you were to just drive by, but if you are ever within 10 maybe even 20 miles of Cleveland Oklahoma, I would really recommend stopping in here. From the gravel parking lot to the well worn tile floors to the nice old school red booths and tables, this diner has it all. And the food? Oh my gosh, everything is tasty and it’s demonstrated by people coming in sometimes 3 times a day. From that fantastic country breakfast to a very well cared for soup and salad bar all the way to tasty steaks, this is your place. They even have a staffer whose only job is to keep the nicest looking, cleaned and stocked salad bar in Oklahoma. Now that’s refreshing! I have not eaten the actual buffet, but they have a Sunday buffet and a Friday night buffet that is super affordable. It’s run by a very caring 3rd generation family and they pour life into this restaurant. (You will see all 3 generations working there!) Come by and give a nice old school diner a try. My pictures I took are so nice they look fake, but these are real shots of their food as it came out. They allowed me extra pics. You have to try them.

Our first time to the Hickory House in Cleveland set the tone for a perfect day. Our breakfast was delicious and piping hot. The ham and pork chops were large portions. The eggs and hash browns were cooked perfectly. I especially loved the biscuits and gravy. Two huge biscuits with homemade gravy were enough to be a meal themselves. The coffee is smooth and hot--some of the best breakfast coffee I've had. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. We never went without anything, and the coffee cups were always full. If you need a breakfast joint in the Cleveland area, I highly recommend this place. It's been around for over 30 years for a reason.
